James Nguyen

Meet The Candidate


James Nguyen has lived in Mississauga for the last 30 years, most of that time in Erin Mills. He is currently employed as an Investment and Insurance Advisor with a focus on estate planning, risk management and wealth preservation. Besides his financial sector experience, James also has extensive experience in the supply chain management sector.

James devotes some of his personal time by volunteering at his local church Merciful Redeemer Parish and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition, he has raised money for the Mississauga Food Bank and other projects in Mississauga. During the pandemic, he lead a local group to donate personal protective equipment to hospitals, retirement homes and places of worship. When not working or volunteering, James loves spending time with his family especially with his 5-year-old daughter, Francine.

James holds an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) from the University of Toronto in Mississauga (UTM) and received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Currently he holds both the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) designations, and is a candidate for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
